More work tonight with extra leaflets arriving, planning work for the next couple of days plus a bit of work to make it interesting for supporters and opponents alike. I am sure that all will come clear when the residents of Calne's Lickhill ward travel to work or town tomorrow. Thanks to the team from yesterday plus particular thanks to Colin and Sam.
I experienced yet another example today of how serious the illegal immigration problem is in this country. On the radio station Planet Rock there was an advertisement from a government department advising employers not to use illegal immigrants in their workforce. I thought the department would be the Department of Work and Pensions but there is no immediate evidence of this on their web-site, so next time I hear it I will confirm. Isn't it strange that the government applaud the contribution made to our economy by foreign workers yet have to advertise to warn employers to ensure their workers are here legitimately. I think it is another case of a confused and ignorant government having no idea what is actually happening in the country. If they paid more attention to the real problems in this country than they do to providing work for our over-stretched police force, in investigating their finances, then the situation might be better!
So the end of another day with just two full days until election day and things are definitely looking very good.
